in 2025, i designed a sampul raya for my embroidery brand, twelfth calendula. the concept is inspired by one of the raya kuihs, kuih bangkit.

"bangkit" also means "to rise" in malay. linking the literal meaning to the design concept, i've incorporated a kuih bangkit claw machine named "bangkit 3000".

to emphasise the concept even further, i animated a short teaser before the launch as an IG reel. the animation depicts a bunch of kuih bangkit in a claw machine panicking while one of them is about to be caught and brought upwards.
